I did a mohawk on him and that was adorable. I also dyed him red but it back fired and he turned out pink which was also adorable but didn't help the girl thing. I thought about dying him green or blue for Halloween. (no chemical dyes just Kool-Aid in the shampoo).

@Casper66 a 2'x3' sheet of steel that looks like expanded metal just flattened. Cut to fit then epoxy-ed it to the grille surround. Not so sure about how big the diamond voids are though, you can really see through it from the right angle.

I will get a closer picture later on

Buying jack stands for the first time, I'm sick of going to an DIY Auto Shop and paying for stall time when I can lift the truck with my Hi Lift & use jacks, so that brings me to my question

What capacity jacks do you guys use...
    2 or 3 ton jacks?

    You'll love this story then!
We went to a local car show, my daughter and her friend were ahead of us walking that dog and another. People were asking what type of dog was that , and does it come in diff colors ??? This gets better! As the wife and I were walking we overheard some of the car owners say ... no one is looking @ the cars... just that damn PINK dog! :annoyed:

Go with the 6-ton jacks. Better to overcompensate when your ass is laying down on the ground under it.

/I need jack stands and a decent floor jack as well :anonymous:

I've been using a set I bought from walmart like 15 years ago and never had a problem. The money they'll save you instead of renting stall space will more than pay for them

Yeah, or go to Harbor Freight... $45 and if you get them this weekend there's 20%-25% off coupons you can use.

Looks awesome! That fits there pretty well. I'll keep it in mind if I ever need yet another switch panel.
I have some 2 ton jackstands I use sometimes, but usually for things like brakes where I'm not actually under the truck. Really, 2 tons is approximately the weight of an entire stock Tacoma so they should be fine to hold up a corner. They're generally less tall and have narrower bases though. It's that narrow base that is my biggest issue with them especially when extended a lot... does not inspire a lot of confidence and I like to feel VERY confident when I'm under my 5000lb+ ball of steel.

I had 3 tons for my car and tried to use them on the truck but they aren't really tall enough. like the other guys mentioned, go with the bigger stands

Put on "almost new" SCS SR8 Bronze with 265 Duratracs. May eventually go to 285's but no rubbing now and not bad of a look! Now need a weekend to get 'em dirty / test out. truckwheelstires2jpg.jpg wheelstires3.jpg truckfront.jpg
