Thanks. He's seems to be doing really well. Getting along with his pack mates. He's going to vet here in a bit to get his shots and a checkup.

    From this morning.

He won't be able to ride like this for much longer if he keeps growing at his current pace.

What prompted you to get the stool test done then? Did you see worms in the poop?

It's very VERY common, and not a big deal, so don't stress it. The fact that you are on top of it is great. It can be taken care of with a simple de-wormer. May take a couple rounds, but the little guy will be fine.

Thanks bud. The vet called back and said the sample came up negative. But they want to give Marty another dose in two weeks. Appreciate your feedback. It's good to hear.

That's a good idea, to get a good baseline of the dogs health. Glad to hear it's all up to snuff!

How do I break a dog from peeing in "designated spots"? I adopted Sam last month and for the first few days she wouldn't even pee. I called the vet bc I thought she had some sort of infection but she told me she was fine and just adjusting. She would pee about once a day and only if I found a spot with pine straw.

Now she pees 2-3 times a day but she will only pee on a certain tee box behind my house (on the golf course) or about 1/2 mile up the street in the yard of a fire station.

She will poop anywhere but I can walk her for over a mile and she refuses to squat for a pee until I get to 1 of her 2 spots.

How do I make her realize anywhere outside is OK?

Last weekend we went to the lake for the night and she pee'd around 5pm and didn't pee again until about 9am the next morning. I walked her for about 45min at 11pm before I gave up and put her in her crate. I hate doing that but it is so annoying aimlessly wandering around with her :bananadead:

Pickles, 3 year old Pit. Found him about 7 months ago in a Wynn Dixie parking lot and jumped into the Tundra immediately. 45lbs, filthy and nails in dire need of clipping. now a 65lbs lap dog. still smelly, though. 14237757_1728703744047833_4077737915815912265_n.jpg 15741197_1778289382422602_2537080455090409671_n.jpg

Try the "go pee" command. Take some treats and tell her "go pee". If she does, treat and "good girl"--this will work better if you start at the places she'll pee. Gradually, work your way away from the favorite pee spots. Might take some time but it should work.
