I ended up looking at Toyotas because one of my customers had a nearly 800k Tundra. He finally traded his ol 2006 Betty White in at 799k back in 2014 for a new Tundra. She's still sitting on the showroom floor with a priceless sticker. No major repairs in that 799k stint. I was so impressed that I gave Toyota a chance. Here I am. Fuck.

    Yeah so basically,

The guy was in underwriting and wanted his fiancée on the Loan half way through, when they went to add her, something came up on his side that they had missed (something about how he is transferring his job to here), and then HE lost eligibility.

    So yeah, fucked.

Dropped the price 3k and relisted it to $3500 under appraised value.

Anyone looking for a house in STV?

I used one of those bartender Cady from eBay for $6 trimmed a little and added padding and felt to keep from moving around.

    Awesome thanks.

Yeah I've already got a big foam block in my center console that I've been cutting out for random stuff. Looks like I've got room to cut out for the gun still. But also may try for something under the steering wheel or beside the center console for trail carrying when I'll be taking it on and off frequently and use the center console for when I want to keep it out of sight or visiting friends in CA lol

What's happened with yours? I must have missed it buried in the BS.

The other day I heard someone talking about the Tacoma's 3rd gen woes and they said "Maybe I'll just get a Ram"...
It's like "oh, I heard that some people complain about these shorts being too tight, so I figured I'd hit my dick with a hammer instead"

Lol. She's been good for the most part, until recently. Had a whirling noise and other assorted noises for a while now. Changed out rear diff fluid, replaced carrier bearing, ujoints, and did the carrier bearing drop. Noise still existed. Friends have been suspecting wheel bearings, nope. Dropped her off at the shop Wednesday and they still didn't have parts by Friday. So the owner put her rear diff back together and gave her back. Dropped her back off Monday morning before work, called today, still not ready, delay on parts from the Toyota dealer. They're comping my costs for the inconvenience/delays. Pinion bearing and whatnot. Maybe. Who knows. Luckily I went a solid four weeks without filling up the gas tank now that I live near work. Been walking to work with the truck being out of commission. I should get her back tomorrow after work or sometime Friday. Got a couple of long weekends with lots of traveling in the next month, need/want my hybrid-quiet four banger back.

Yikes. That's a shame. My truck doesn't even have the whine and it keeps me up at night from an engineering standpoint... like WHAT IS IT?!?!
I'm just so curious. What with the weeping diff recall I suggested that maybe it was side gear noise (from stretched studs allowing the diff to put pressure on the axles) but no one seemed to take me seriously or assumed I was just using the wrong term for the pinion.

I'm very happy with my 4banger taco so far... changed the oil at a 5.5k interval and the oil looked absolutely fine. Only question mark is the 6AT but it has behaved just fine for me. Probably going to get the WS fluid flushed out in favor of something better just before warranty is up.
