    Yes but if you do the same thing at 75 mph it will also tickle your pickle. :eek:

    I was running probably one the largest 285s with no CMC. Caster was around 4 degrees. No rub on the cab mount, but was rubbing against everything else :laughing:

    Now I gotta fit 37s :goingcrazy:

    I'm running 295/75/16's with 885's and a top plate spacer and never had to do a cmc. It's all about the offset of the wheels...about 4-4 1/2" of backspacing is a sweet spot(+ high caster). I offroad also and i have never hit it...just snipped some plastic here and there. Everyone forgets no 2 of these trucks are the same. We can run the same lift and tires and have completely different experiences with it.

    When you add more caster it pushes the tire more forward. Since I have a plate bumper and total chaos upper and lower control arms, I can run higher caster numbers.

    How do you figure out what backspacing I will have with -12 offset wheels?

    There's backspace charts all over the internet. Ur rim width and size factors that also.

    Backspace = (Rim's Tire Width + 1)/2 + (Offset/25.4)

    According to the charts I would have a 4.5 inch backspacing with 9 in wide wheels and -12 offset. If I get UCA's with it I should probably be all set if I just get a high caster?

    Driving around town you will likely be able to set it up with no (or minimal) rubbing with a little flare cutting+material removal/mud flap removal/air baffle removal. Depending on your definition of "offroading" rubbing might be unavoidable. If you're doing things with severe downhill suspension articulation or high speed travel over fucked up/washed out roads rubbing may be unavoidable.

    You should be good for sure then, you'll probably end up cutting some plastic on the inner fenders.

    Thanks. Yeah, im in love with how the 285's look on the truck after I saw one the other day in a parking lot. Im not going to do some HEAVY offroading in which some of you guys do (rock climbing, etc) but just light trails and stuff like that. Im not going to do anything too crazy (or at least thats what I think). I think im going to try and run the tires/wheels and see how they go, ill try and get the max caster I can and if worst comes to worst ill just chop the cab mount.... Stressful stuff lol

    Go ahead and do some research now before you buy your tires and find someone (shop or TW member) who can do the cab mount chop for you, that way you are good to go if you need it done quickly. ;)
