I like the MAPP gas, which is no longer available, but the MAP-Pro is still good. More BTU's per pound than propane, and it was available from the Depot or Lowes, at least in PA, in a yellow cylinder.

I just bought MAPP gas a while ago. Yellow cylinder.

Hmm thanks for the info, Mike. Gonna have to look into them more. I had only thought about them until now. Hadn't done research.

Hell, my cabin rental is almost $600 for 4 nights. Plus $267? Still a cheap vacation.
Dan, do the monies paid to ATR cover the land use permit, or are they extra?

Yes. You get a 3 day land use pass. For Friday-Sunday. And some meals. Plus a cool raffle.

Cabin? You'll be roughing it compared to @HolyHandGrenade 's Taj Mahal camping setup.

I sleep in my bed. Soooo all I need is an airmatress and pillow and blanket good to go. Although I was thinking about the cabins but at that price I'll sleep in the truck. Haha

Got a remote private cabin about 16 miles away. Cheaper than a hotel room and nestled in the woods

Sounds like the cabin we stayed in a few times that my father's buddy owned in Maine. No neighbors, a bit of a drive off the road and was right on the edge of the Penobscot River. Cabins that are isolated but not unreasonably removed from civilization are great.

I may get a tent this year. It's a pita to take everything out of my bed just to go to sleep.

It's a lot more than that, you've put quite a bit of thought and effort into your set up and it shows.

No, it's not. Real MAPP isn't produced any more, sadly.
