Does anyone have a recommendation for a good wiring harness for the Hella Dual Tones I'm about to install on the Taco? Found one on Amazon but the ratings are garbage. Thanks in advance.

I made a simple one. Hot wire plugged into stock horn plug, the ground wire, I put a ring terminal on it, and put it on the bolt used to mount the horns.

Thanks, odd to me that the stock horn terminals don't look to have a positive and negative...

Let us know how you like the sound. I've been thinking of upgrading mine, too.

Stock wiring couldn't handle it anyways. These bad boys pull 11 amps and they're LOUD. If you're savvy enough, I'd just do it yourself. It's not too difficult. I've got the Sharptones on my subie and couldn't be happier.

I have two on my 2014 Tacoma with stock wiring and no issues in over a year of use. Great horns!

They don't, the stock horn grounds directly through the mounting bracket. Thats why I had to make a lead with a ring terminal to ground the hellas. I used the same mounting bolt, just slipped the wire in there.

Did you add to the stock horns or replace the stock horns?

A horn upgrade is on my list as well. The stock horn is so.. um polite and friendly sounding, and that's only when it's warm out. Not sure what the engineers were thinking when they this sound to be selected.

Subimods.com has wiring harnesses. They are for subarus (obviously) but they are really well made. If you conact them they would most likey help you on with what will work. They probaby just need to know what the connector looks like and the length from battery to horns.

Which one sounds closer to the stock horn, supers or the sharps? My stock horns buzz when it gets cold and I love honking at texters.

Super Tones are at a higher frequency. Sharp Tones are lower and more harmonic. There are Youtube videos comparing the sounds of each.
