How long did it work until the vibrations came back again?

 

They'll do it but they won't warranty anything around it after. That's why I had them do their fix so everything would still be covered

 

I'm long out of warranty except for the frame stuff (which I had to embarrass the service manager to have my frame replaced). Also had to tell one of their techs he was wrong and show him why on my t4r

 

Sadly, that's about par for the course for Toyota techs these days. I shouldn't even single them out, dealer techs in general seem to be of lower caliber than they used to be. Obviously, still a lot of good ones out there but they're getting tougher to find.

 

I don't know if I could just give up the reigns like that man.

The techs we had in NY were generally retarded, except for a select few.

Up here, they are far more competent, plus people aren't jumping ship every 3 seconds for greener grass at another dealership...

My dealership put my 1st lift in (well the front part anyways). I was still under warranty when one of my factory Bilsteins blew. A little back and forth later and they agreed to replace both of them. Then I said well since you're going to put both of them in anyways can you put in my struts? Got a little laughter and was told I was a good negotiator but they agreed to do it. Billy 5100's set @ 2.5". I just had to buy the 5100's and they installed them. Then they handed me 2 boxes with my brand new warranty replacement TRD Billys in them.

Out of curiosity one day, when I was getting one of my free oil changes at my dealership, I asked about stuff like that. The guy told me it's something they could probably do but would have to talk to the foreman first. I guess it all depends on who you talk to, and what mood they are in.

 

Lube lube lube and get your alignment done every 6 months afterwards. That's why the Firestone lifetime alignment is worth it

 

My cambolts should be ok(fingers crossed) I took them all out last winter and greased the shit out of them

 

I always see mixed reviews on the Firestone alignments, especially with aftermarket UCAs and wanting non factory spec alignment

No idea, but those are words to live by.

 

We put his in right after we did mine lol
