So my rear bumper isn't the best looking thing from certain angles but the piece directly off the rear hatch looks good and is plenty solid. Essentially we're going to cut the wrap around part off, keep the tube directly off the hatch, and weld new sides. Mimic aspects of Savage's and CBI's rear hybrid. Also add some side frame supports since mine only goes into the ends.

Eventually add a swing out from there but that'll be later.

I'm just going to hope yours ships with all the parts, after all this delay.

Just saw Zach is talking new group buy and there's still guys waiting on racks, and guys who got racks with missing pieces and they're still waiting on said pieces from the previous group buy.

I don't have a clue what the fuck he's thinking.

Saw that, im not going to partake in anything until his lead times and fulfillment percentage climbs into the positive. People are waiting 6 months and get half the parts needed. No thanks.

It's annoying when the date changes every other day though. I wish they could just give us an honest time frame.

Hopefully get things in order means that he is working on getting lead times down and current orders shipped.

I am holding out for them, it is just like Danny waiting on his roof rack because I've now gone on two trips without them that I expected to have them.

Yeah that is a lot to drop and then wait. How are you sitting on the roof top tent search for?

i've been searching for awhile now. But that would need me to have a roof rack. So i've stalled out on that for the time being, plus i really like the sleekness of the naked roof.

I don't understand what's so hard about assembling pieces to a bolt together roof rack. Maybe I'm missing something but set 10 racks out at a time and piece them together. 10 done, start another 10. Your laser guy slow? Go to a new one

In the end, it's all his problem.

If the current business model doesn't work then cash flow be damned, buy in batches, assemble in batches, inventory in batches, and sell in batches.

Having everything in place before you sell it costs more up front, but guarantees growth. Continual fuck ups will sink any business, regardless of the product. Demand doesn't last forever, and a history of problems won't carry you through lean times.

Less of a problem for a guy part timing it, but that's all it will ever be unless he starts getting it together. Whether that's sourcing new material vendors, finding new partners to work with for manufacturing, or changing how he handles his end, or all of the above.

Even when racks are delivered timely, he's still having problems getting orders correct and sending them out the door complete, and not missing pieces or hardware.

That kind of stuff is all on him, and that's where I'm betting the bulk of his problems are - IMO.

I remember when he debuted his rack (the original was made by him, for his truck, then demand set in and he started building more) and I would really hate to see him go from that - with such a great DIY design, to one of those numerous vendors who get the reputation of "it's good if you actually get it."

Like an unnamed bumper fabricator who made legit, great looking bumpers and then stopped filling orders and kept taking funds.

The guys who have the bumpers love them, but "if you can get it" certainly applies. Great stuff isn't enough to keep you in business.

I think he should just do it full time. I don't know what else he does, but I'd much rather run prinsu than my normal job
