    Why not just do it?

    It's not worth it, and if it fails you'll have to replace all the parts that breeak along with it.

    Not to mention what could happen to you or others if/ when it fails.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Look at it this way, you're avoiding lots of damage costs and gaining two trail spares in the process.

    Very true...trail spares...I like that. Oh and I got that small mirror box from uhaul. Gonna see if those fit tomorrow sometime.

    My rig is pretty low mileage, but I'm seriously thinking about doing this with quite a few components.

    Be pretty sweet to eventually end up with brand new parts on the truck and lightly used low mileage OEM parts as spares. I'd start with the LBJs for sure.

    I guess I probably need to bite the bullet and do mine too. You don't have part numbers by chance from that order you just placed?

    I bought the truck with 155,522 miles on it. No idea if they've ever been replaced. Two years later I'm at 162,000 so it's time.

    Still a couple things to finish on the front end (new calipers/pads/rotors/LBJ's) but made some more progress.

    Got the drivers side all buttoned up...

    Got the wheels mounted but still waiting on lugnuts to show up before I can install them, should be here friday...

    Hopefully get some time this weekend to get the front tires on, turn it around in the garage and start working on the rear.
