Those look real good. Low enough and out stick out some for door ding protection. I will probably get some of these and get rid of my current steps.

was looking at ones similar to these ones on a Tundra I saw and these ones you installed look close.

 

I ordered mine back in March 17th from Amazon and just received today. Will show pics after install.

 

How do you like these? I'm thinking about picking up a set of these.

 

Look at Body armor 4x4. Strong and looks nice.

 

I'm really leaning towards those. They look great and dual function. How much heel/tow does the step have, and do you feel there's plenty of clearance stepping out of the truck?

 

im not a fan of damage multipliers so i have these mounted to the frame

 

I like. It a lot but sending it back. I bought it with Amazon. Getting Sliders from @allpro. Step is good. Heavy

 

I can't tell 100%, but does your 2nd Gen steps stick out past your mudflaps? I'm looking at getting rid of my Predators and prefer the look of the older boards because they don't stick out quite a far as the new, all metal ones. I just don't want them to go out past the mudflaps (or the edge of the tire). A pic looking down the side from the front or rear would be fantastic, if you could.

 

They're just about even. Don't have a shot of straight down but can take one later if you need me to.

 

Can you also take a side picture of your Tacoma with the gen 2 steps?

I'm really interested in buying these. Want something for protection that don't stick out to much and sit higher up.

Had someone hit my truck the other day with their door while I was in it. I got out, looked at my door, looked a theres.

Dent in their door, mine was fine and a little scuff on the slider.
Guy said sorry, I shrugged and said 'you're the one with the damage'

 

They serve different purposes. Sliders are more expensive and completely useless if you don't do any serious off roading.

my sliders cost me maybe $150-$200 more than side steps would've.

 

I have the N-fab steps, wheel to wheel with a 3 inch tube. They offer a 2 inch tube, it looks cheap in my opinion. 3 inch is best, wheel to wheel is the way to go.

They usually run about $350. Around black Friday 2 years ago I went to Jet.com and got them for $210 (had a promo code for signing up for jet, something like 30% off, max of $50).

 

Yea but why spend even $10 more if it serves no purpose? I know I won't need sliders. I see no reason to have a permanent (welded) bar put on my truck. I think it also has the potential to scare off some future buyers if they think I wheel the truck hard and need sliders. Plus I like the stock look. Different strokes for different folks.

 

you can get most sliders as bolt on like mine.

Different views I guess to me if I can get something a hell of a lot stronger for not much more its worth it to me.
