So it's about time I made a build thread.

Here's a little bit about me. I'm currently 22 years old. I'll be graduating with a bachelors degree in Law Enforcement in less than a month. I currently work part time on the weekends for a Police Department 4 hours away.

This is my second Tacoma, I first bought a white access cab, but I got hooked by the trucks and worked my @ss off to be able to afford a 4 door TRD 6spd which was my dream.

I bought a 2009 Silver TRD about 2 months ago with 115k miles for about 16k.

After owning the truck for nearly 2 months, and working my butt off while being a full time student, I finally got the resources for my lift. I purchased a 3" Headstrong Lift, and some 17" FN Wheels, with 33" Nitto G2 Tires.

So today I went ahead and removed the mud flaps, I didn't really like the look of them in the first place, and they were rubbing anyways. Although when I removed them, I noticed over the years that they dug deep into the paint of the fenders, kind of annoyed by that but I think it looks a lot better. Plus it only took me about 10 minutes or so.
    Pics as always

Been a productive day I took off a "USA SWIMMING" sticker from the PO that sucker was baked on (See previous picture it was mounted in the top left corner). In addition I added my own little decal. Love sportin this decal up here in the land of 10,000 lakes.

Happy Easter to everyone (even though no one reads my thread)! Today I took advantage of the nice day and decided to de-badge my tailgate. I only have this crappy snap chat picture, but you get the idea.

In addition, I took advantage of the blue sky and the American flag and snapped a happy easter pic. Enjoy.

I took the max amount of Criminal Justice classes as electives, they were all taught by a 30 year Detroit veteran. He had the coolest stories. Stay safe out there Rosie. Wife your lady and pump out some kids so you can fill out that double cab.

OP I look forward to following your thread. Looks like you've got all the elements for success in anything you take on in life...a good girl, a good truck, a good work ethic, and a good plan.

I haven't posted for a while, and that's due to the fact that I've been out enjoying my Tacoma! I've recently finished college and will be graduating on Saturday, I move into the academy Sunday where I will spend my summer to chase my dreams of becoming a full time officer.

This past week I've been out traveling in my Tacoma, mostly doing some fishing in southern MN, I've been chasing trout which is something I've never done before. I hope you guys enjoy these photos I took.

Thanks! For the transmission, I wouldn't of gone any other way. I really like the 6 spd, 1st gear feels pointless at times. The only time I dislike the 6 spd is in traffic :crapstorm:.

Same here, after I drove my mom's FJ w/ the 6spd in it, I was dead set on a taco with it. I agree with what you said about first gear, unless towing it's not really necessary. That's probably the only time i dislike the MT as well. I live in the country, so every time I go to the city and have to sit in traffic its dreadful! Other than in city driving, I find manuals to be better all around:thumbsup:
