took the truck out to get a car wash and didnt hear any knocking at idle or while driving, that knock yesterday is still a mystery to me... Gonna JB weld the rusted part of the pan tomorrow after work, debating whether I should get a new pan or not.

 

Why not regular weld it haha, that'll solve the leak

The gasket that I thought I needed came in the mail too, but apparently these suck lol

 

Do these even use a pan gasket? I was told nothing but FIPG is to be used. Cork is for wine bottles

 

Nothing wrong with a cork gasket, we've been using them forever and they're just fine. Helps if you use some of this though...

I've used plenty of cork gaskets and they're great, the tack spray makes them easier to put on and line up and ensures a great seal.
