By no means am I saying the following fixed the "SLUG" problem with the 2016+ V6 Auto Tacoma but it dang sure helped.

    Transmission TSB V2 performed
Gutted the charcoal element from the intake lid and replaced the stock filter with a K&N drop in.

My truck seems like it doesn't lug as much and it for sure doesn't down shift constantly like it was before. My drive into work is all back rods up and down hill. I no longer drop to 2nd gear, while in cruise, to make it up a relatively tall and long hill. Additionally, I saw a consistent 1.5 mpg increase after the intake gutting and filter replacement. I would say, the above is a must do!!!

I have had the TSB v2 done on my truck for about 15K miles and the filter replacement and the element removal for 7k miles. This is factual data I have obtained.

Ok I think I found more power for our trucks cheap too. :D

I had to do some mods so it would fit under the hood, but it’s still a work in progress..Stay tuned for the updates!

Well it's gotta improve flow at the very least... it removes the primary cats.

Would love to pair it with my URD Y-pipe, but 1) no shop would Install it, due to the whole removing the cats issue; 2) would be throwing a code every time; 3) would never pass a emissions inspection and therefore never be able to register here in Texas... listed this last because it concerns me the least, my last truck was 2 years past inspection/registration. :notsure:

As far as I understand it, due to the way the manifolds are designed on this new 3rd gen engine, this is as close to headers as we're going to get... Very tempting.

I am incredibly interested in this! Would this be something that could be done in an afternoon? I can see a potential day trip down to Oceanside in my future.

I've had plenty of go fast vehicles over the years. My last ride was a Trailblazer SS. AWD LS2 with 4.10 gears. I was pleasantly surprised with the taco for what it is. I was honestly afraid driving a "normal" vehicle would drive me nuts, but I'm pretty happy with it. I suppose you could drop an LS engine in there lol. Someone will probably make a mount kit eventually.

Recently got a 2016 Taco, and I'm really impressed with the truck. I do agree with the OP some extra power would be nice, however I remind myself that this is a truck and it was built for utility first. I have cars for speed and power-turbos and supercharged.

    Can ya spell Tonneau
The 1GR is pretty much locked out right? Or is that a possibility? I've not looked to see if our ECU is a Denso, but since the dealer can flash it for superchargers...
