You are already using someone else's points with the factory selection though aren't you? If it's better than that, it's a win in my book. I'll know tomorrow :)

True, can't argue with that. But I could still use S on my own, or ECT. To be honest, the tranny hasn't been a deal breaker for me. I only really notice it at the 30-40mph bogged down and not moving times.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the unit-cancellation features all work as described (unit self-cancels when you shift back into D, or shift the S-mode yourself). To be expected, but still.

That's an awesome feature in the unit. I really give this guy credit, he thought of everything I didn't.

I have to say. Using s mode yourself vs this unit isn't the same. At all. I've spent plenty of time using the s mode and manually shifting. You still can't get away from the early downshifts. This gizmo greatly helps with that.

Does the dash light up indicating you are in "S" and then show the gear number (1 through 6) when it shifts much like it does when you manually go into "S" and begin shifting yourself?

Are they going to get rid of the "beep" and put the device in a smaller box? Must haves for me!

Haven't driven mine, but it's finally installed. Mine is 100% hidden under the center console. Plenty of room next to shifter to just lay it flat. I should've taken a pic before I closed it up.

It shows the S-mode the truck is currently in, which may, or may not coincide with the gear the truck is in.

Well maybe you could take it to someone with the right software, and have them adjust the shift points on this module.(if they aren't to your liking)?

Wanna weigh in on this, @dcz108 ?

What's this beep business? Does it beep with each shift or just when you turn it on?

You can change the settings so that the gear your in appears only in the lower left hand corner of the screen. And it does change with the shift points. Very nice, and the beeping is a non factor. It's very subtle. The truck beeps much louder.
And the box is smaller than a dollar bill and will disappear under the console.

When you turn on the truck and when you shift into "S" but again it's very subtle. Won't beep with every shift. Also will beep if you disengage it by either shifting up or down in "S" mode or going back to "D". Totally not a big deal.

Yea, that sounds 100% reasonable. The way people were bitching I thought it was every shift.
