On a guess... Nah Data Plates are for wussies :} I can not tell you how many times we had call backs to HVAC installs and all it was , was the sparky had wired the squirrel cage backward . Thankfully, it didn't hurt them just made it run backward and one of us on the HVAC side had to run out check out unit and swap wires . Pump motors .. since I am not a sparky does it hurt them to the point of replacement ?

Assuming this is a single phase 120 volt motor incorrectly connected to 240 volt, yeah change it out. IF it runs it will not for long.

I forget. It's been almost a year since I plumbed it. There was a lawsuit over electricians. Still finding stuff wrong. I was told this as I left yesterday. Deal with it next week.

So my Son and his girlfriend are going on vacation to Dominican flying out tomorrow morning. BWI to Fort Lauderdale, connecting flight to Punta Cana. Guess what airline? Spirit... Two times this week the morning flight has been cancelled due to the pilot shortage. Today's flight took off so hopefully tomorrow morning's will as well. They are stressing bad.

Good morning and welcome to Friday. 42 this morning and have the house open. Waiting a few more minutes for it to get up a couple more degrees to take a shower. More coffee.

Pumps and motors, only missing talk about the flexible couplings. When they came out with those fancy computer leveling measuring machines for shimming alignment between pumps and motors I still used a straight edge and dial indicator and my jobs lasted longer than those machines that told you how much shim to use on each foot. Probably come a long ways since then though too early in the morning to think about that. :pccoffee:

    Small useful for me stuff.

I'll bet my eye teeth they didn't test anything once hooked up. A job is not complete until it's tested/hot checked period. Just like a plumbers job isn't done until the toilet flushes.

Hydrostatic tested. And dynamically tested shafts. Witness and signoff. Ah the good old old days. But was usually done right in the end.

That's another problem. Water line is under sized to that rr. Guys before me ran 1" almost 100' to a half bath with Sloan valve. No volume. I ran 2" to other ones. They won't let me replace the 1".
    Oh well.
