That's the one I used. I actually ended up removing the upper sun glasses holder and screwing the supplied D ring straight into the headliner, but with the screw hidden. All you saw was this tiny D ring poking out the side, and it would actually be totally hidden by the sun visor with it folded up.

No trucker talk. But I do like to think of myself as a cocaine dealer from the 80's

I get at it pretty hard with the supercharger, no issues with the dangling cb.

I'll see what I can find when I get home. I've since sold the truck, so I'll have to see if I have any pics of it on my computer. I might forget, so remind me. It really is a great set up. When I sold the truck, I removed the D ring and the tiny hole from the screw was hidden behind the sun glasses holder, so no one is the wiser.

Just noticed this part. It's definitely an option. You can get a basic little CB speaker for cheap. All it is is that 3.5mm jack hole right next to the COAX cable on the brain. I can see it in your original pics.

I do have the Cobra WX ST, and I like your idea of leaving it unplugged when not in use. I'll prolly only use it when travelling or off-roading with a group. That kinda makes sense.

Lol... I updated that thread. Magnuson is working on one.

So that thing doesn't start dangling around and hitting things?

I am planning on installing mine once I get the dual battery system by OGE installed. I thought you wanted the antenna to be at least 50% above the cab height? That one seems like it barely clears the roof line.

Nope. It will swing slightly on bumps and shit but nothing that bangs around or anything. Just swings a little and only on big bumps when offroading

Just FYI when tuning the firestik adjustable antennas the goal is to make your adjustment, put the red cap back on and close up your doors, etc and then check the SWR. No point in tuning it then putting the cap in later cause like you saw, it does alter the read.

And firestik also has an instruction sheet that goes through the process of dialing in the antenna up or down based on SWR on channel 1 vs 40. So you don't have to randomly fight with it/guess.
