I love seeing all the dogs! Lost my Maddy in December, worst day in recent memory. It's great how all you rescued dogs and thank you for that. I don't know if I could do a rescue, I have two friends that have had rough experiences with rescues. My girlfriend is one, she has a Borebal Mastiff at 160lbs that was rescued and is incredibly dog aggressive. She's done everything she could, spent thousands on training, worked with her for a long time (still does) and basically the outcome is the same. Her only option is medication but then you get a zombie dog, and large breeds are lazy already. So she isn't allowed to do doggy day care or have anyone with a dog visit. This is her 4th Mastiff over the years that was rescued and although it's the only one that has been a problem, it's so bad she'll never rescue again. Another friend had one (just put down yesterday in fact:() that was obviously beaten by a man or men and left alone way too long. That dog was so skittish around men it was dangerous. And the separation anxiety was really horrific. So I love hearing about you folks that have rescued pups, just don't know if I could do it myself.

^^^ Read Dave's post above about his experience of excessive oil use.

BTW, do you really think that Subaru or any other car, motorcycle or recreational vehicle manufacture has a plant making there own oil? No, it's out sourced and probably made by Mobile or Castrol etc but every company has their own line of oil and only recommends the one with their name on it! My god even the stealerships don't use the manufacturer's fluids as I'm sure you know by being a service writer.

Stop believing everything you read on the internet. Lol

i don't! i'm a huge personal space person. but all of a sudden he took a big step back and i thought we were going to have a foot race

breeder dogs can have just as many problems with all of the inbreeding. weimaraners are notorious for separation anxiety and destroying things

I only use oem parts and fluids on any vehicles repair or maintenance.. my truck gets toyota oil and filter. Toyota Oil and filter is cheaper than the Autoparts stores.

    Both Rat Terriers.

Jack on the left is a mini, about 9-10lbs. He'll be 15 years old next month. He's starting to go blind but is still a happy guy.

Phoebe is on the right. Straight up working dog. She's going to be 3 this fall. My wife calls her Ivanka because she has an inappropriate relationship with her father (me)!

If I remember correctly, Subaru's oil is supplied by Idemitsu. They also supply for Mazda and Mitsubishi, and the tranny fluid for Honda.

I agree about the filter. $4 for me at the dealership but no way I'm getting 5 qt's of full synthetic oil for less than $24 at a dealers like I do at Walmart. I change it up between running Pennzoil Platinum Plus or M1
Well there you go!!! I wasn't going to go through the trouble to look it up to prove my point because I already knew they had it made by someone else

Pennzoil high mileage Dino here. From my rudimentary research synth doesn't benefit me much. Oil change interval is 5k regardless on my truck.

I agree oe filters are like $4, can't beat that.

I've got synth in my diffs, tcase but that's more a function of it's what's readily available
