I hear you too. We are having a surprise #2 and we almost have my truck and my wife's car paid off. We are probably going to pay off the rest our debt along with our vehicles. Then we will get her a 4Runner. I've been considering selling my truck as well and upsizing for that same reason. It is a little tight with car seats and such. The good thing is that my 2010 Tacoma has only went down in value a few thousand. I can still get about $20K according to KBB and Edmunds.

actually that's one of the main reasons that I bought new.... since Toyota's (4Runners and Tacos especially) hold their value so well!

yea man, we have taken the 4Runner down to VaBeach once and the Taco down once.... and it was pretty rough in the Taco... no problem in the 4Runner.... since we have to take dog, kid (2 kids soon) gear, etc...

If I can get into an 05ish F250 for about $15k AND have more room.... it might be worth doing and saving the extra money.... $600 payment to $250 will allow me to get back on track with saving money monthly

yea man, I have had a few of them... they are great trucks.... and as long as you take care of them, they are reliable. haha

and for like $1,000 I like having 450rwhp and 600 ft lbs of tq.. It's enough to get out of its own way

lol yea, I still always need a truck... for truck stuff.....

Dang. Sucks you will be selling, you just put so much into it. I'll be selling mine eventually once the dust settles from the move and i figure out what i can actually afford. @Ryan.orr87 and I have same year so i am glad to see values are still holding on the 2010s.

yea man it does.... the extra stuff I just put in it was just a bonus... so not really a LOSS... plus with what I'm asking, it'll recoup that bonus....

but I havent been saving money like I should since I moved here (it's more expensive than I anticipated) so we'll see what happens haha

The general rule of thumb is take the cost of the parts new, cut in half, and maybe you will get that back

The problem with putting a bunch of stuff on your truck to customize it, is that it doesn't actually add resale value to it. Unfortunately... And it probably depends on certain things.

    lol for some.... sure...

you'd be surprised at what people are willing to pay for things that are actually done and installed.... people want lifted trucks, they just dont want to do it themselves.

I bought my JK for $36k, put $5k in to it and sold it for $50,000 (and repeated this cycle 118 ish times) and I've only lost money on 3 vehicles.....

Now you get to enjoy seeing people fuck up their doors! About 6 weeks ago I was getting something out of my truck and this white POS car next to me pulls up to me on the right. I hear a big slam and Im like woa wtf. I quickly glance over and see that this black chic totally fucked up her door.

I told her that "you can thank me later."

Did I read this right you sold 118 plus vehicles for more than you had in them?
