I wanted to make a thread for the people that live close to the Capital District area of NY, looking for taco owners that would be interested in getting together once and awhile to talk mods and check out each others trucks. There are a lot of jeep clubs in the area but there aren't any truck clubs. I'd like to change that and get people together that might be interested in starting something up.

Any ideas? A lot of car clubs get together at Guptils Ice Cream on Route 9 in Latham or we could go anywhere else.

Well my ride isn't too modded by any means by I am down to meet up. I live in latham now.

Side note.... Any of you guys know of reliable, fair priced shop around here with some tacoma knowledge? My clutch is going to need a replace fairly soon and as much as I like wrenching I think after reading quite a few threads its not something I want to tackle.

Any more info about this I'm in the Saratoga region. It would be nice to have a meet. I went to a jeep meet last year I think exit 18-19 something like that off 87, they had some private trails it was for a charity, unfortunately my buddies jeep is about to blow since he sunk it so he's been babying it, haven't had my truck off pavement since I had the left done lol. Just ordered a magnaflow off road pro exhaust so hopefully have that n in the next few weeks.

*side note I don't get n much so please excuse any delay I give in a response

I can tell you I went to 4xheaven in gloversville for the work for my lift and they did a decent job I wouldn't say they are top quality but decent. The only other truck shop for mods i know of is the one n central and I stood in there for 10 minutes without anyone coming out to the desk so I left

I saw in another post you got your cali raised led lights in how do you like them? I've been going back and forth if I want to pull the trigger but to me they seem cheap and they don't offer a lumen output spec which it what I would like to see. 18w doesn't tell me much, maybe to someone else it does, but I know ridgeId and other well known led manurfactures list the lights lumen output

I haven't put them on yet because its been so crappy out but they seem to be good quality. I did a lot of research before I bought them because I didn't wanna spend $500 on two lights. The Cali Raised were $130 with brackets and wiring harness but I've heard nothing but good things about them. The only thing I didn't like was that they took a month to get to deleivered. I have a 2017 SR5 and the only things I have done to it are the tailgate letters and the glove box letters. I am thinking about about the TRD CAI and a Catback Exhaust next.

Once it gets nicer out we can all get together and talk about mods. It's just been so rainy.

I'm right near guptils and I'm in the Saratoga area most weekends. So count me in.
I've got a 5.5 tri fold tonneau cover if anyone wants it. I just put on a cap and can't see using it again. Let me know.
