Im not sure what you mean by all this build up and this. Seems rude.

Anyways, for your info they do plan on making a kit with soft shackles and everything you'll need but obviously they need to have the kick starter go first. You can use normal D rings but the whole idea is to get rid of metal since it has a risk of breaking and flying back at you.

Also need to purchase a static rope and snatch block for use on boulders by the look of the setup.

no need to purchase a snatch block. It can be used without one.

just noticed that the were using one in the video and on the different diagrams. i suppose you could just shackle to the middle of the rope?

I was trying not to be rude. But to be blunt, it was a let down.

And I understand, I just wanted to make sure people know that when you buy this, you will need to at least have a soft shackle or a few d rings to use it (with all 4 loops). You don't wanted people to pull this out when they finally need to use it, and then not have all the accessories and do a no-no and loop the winch line through the deadman loops and hook it too their winch line.

another way to use it is have a tree saver and run it thru all four loops.

Then hook your winch to the tree saver.

    Everything TW members recommend
Snatch block only if recovery angle is not optimal.

Although soft shackle may be ideal, there are other ways to deal with this without a soft shackle.

    This is one:

"another way to use it is have a tree saver and run it thru all four loops."

Yes I'm just thinking, typically tree saver will be shorter, so it's going to be advantageous to have a long enough static line, whether tree saver or longer tow strap or what have you.

I feel like that hole in the video could be excavated and backfilled in well under an hour if you're digging in a wash or beach sand like they showed in the video. If you're not in sand, hopefully there are other anchor points available ie... a tree or a rock. Also, you can't dig your self out if you're high centered on a boulder. I see all kinds of recovery options being opened up with this thing. It beats carrying a separate piece of equipment for every possible situation. I like it!

    Very good,
This product is marketed to replace having a tree saver. I was just trying to point out what might not be too obvious for a newbie who is just getting into recovery gear.
