that sucks that it got graded, but it's still a ton of fun.

I ran it today in the rain and it was legit. we didn't do the whole trail, but the parts that we did actually had some pretty sick spots.

I doubt a 2x4 could make it through, probly not even with a locker

but if your looking for a challenging technical trail it's probably ganna leave you unsatisfied. but for a fun 4x4 run, it's totally worth it

Man that's sad... the primary road to get up to summerhaven was already more than decent enough for fire trucks.... I fail to see why they gotta blast apart a great trail :/

I used to drive up that with my buddy in his Jeep. His Jeep was all tricked out with everything 4" susp lift, 2" body, 35's, etc etc etc

Well one day we get to the top and what did we see. A bone stock 2wd jeep liberty and two bone stock 2wd wranglers. It was insane. So we ended up following them back down...and although it did take them awhile...they actually made it. The trucks were trashed from scratches but these guys didnt care

sall good. We were pretty shocked to see them up there ourselves. We also were happy to see them cause our fuel pump died and we had to idle at like 2 mph the entire way back home. So we were able to keep up with them:p

when i was up there yesterday it was pretty rainy. so the washes were flowing heavy. and on some of the optional rocky spots we had traction problems (i.e. we actually had to find and line and couldn't just crawl over everything)

we didn't do the whole trail tho, neither of us had been up there before and didn't know how far back it went.

is the trail a loop or is it a one way thing?

yah, most the time i was on the trail i was like "would harrelsen and alex be able to do this?!"

but i think it would be really fun for you guys to ride along with me and cliff (and whoever else would like to join us) for nice and tasty 4x4 trail.

i really like the gap how it is now because it's more challenging than the front way in to chimney but it's easier than the front way into chiva. so it's right in the middle.

i just wish i saw what it was like before they graded it

you might be alright with a locker, but i'm not sure.....i've only done part of the trail once and it was all rainy like chimney the other week. so as you could imagine we didn't do a lot of looking around
