@Roo1041 did the Raptor mod on his Tacoma also. You might want to talk to him. Although he did the mod on his Satoshi grill.

Finished wiring up my compressor and switches. Front locker will be ARB (everything tested and functioning as well as leak tested compressor wise) and e-locker switch swapped for OTRATTW to match.

I blew out my CB in the process while trying to put a quick disconnect on. I had two sides of a quick disconnect that apparently didn't go together and sent red to black and black to red and I didn't realize before it was too late. Have another Uniden 520XL on the way. Dumb mistake for sure.

881's with wheeler's 5 leaf, although no shell. Not too stiff, carries my camp gear very well, but I camp more like i'm backpacking, and only 4 days max so far.20170307_095651.jpg

Sorry if I'm asking in the wrong thread but would anyone know where I can get a battery tray for a 27f battery? I just bought one and need a tray that can hold it in the stock location and is strong enough to support it. I've been searching with no luck.

I painted my valve covers and intake manifolds today with Eastwood's Aluma Blast. I figured since I was replacing valve cover gaskets that I might as well. I think I have more hours into prepping the valve covers for paint than anything else.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Always feels like that with oily items being prepped for paint haha. The best way to quicken that process is a sand blaster and a whole bunch or brake clean.

I ended up using about half a bottle of Super Clean and a nylon brush. I would have loved to have blasted them, but any sand in the PVC system baffles and it's game over.

Alright lol I'm gonna try and and we all these lol. The lights I got are from superbrightleds.com I was recommend them by my brother he has them on his Lexus rx330 for over a year and still going strong. The reason I got these and not the ones from xenon is because the build for these are made to look exactly like (pics below). I will also post a pic of the back of the box with the break down. They look pretty close to a stock light output. But no cut off line like a projector has.

Well add CVJ racks to the list of "do not bother, go OEM"

The itrs they use do not have enough articulation in them so they max out at droop. Though when the truck is on jackstands the are not maxed oddly enough. Both sides had play and a divot in the bottom center. Compared to the Moogs I replaced them with they do look a little bit beefier.

I'm kind of disappointed that such a reputable company in the offroad world would use itrs like this. There customer service is great though. They gave me another set of crappy itrs. They will be going in the spare parts box and hope to never use.

Needed to get out of town.

The road I wanted to go on was closed. I had to find out why obviously so I might have went around and found a big snow drift

So I turned around cause I was sick of snow and went down a road I had only been down at 3 I. The morning in 2 feet of snow. It's a lot different in the daylight and no snow.

Also got a little flexy with a stump.

Here is the light output on the the road and against my garage. The pictures are showing low beam first then high. Had to wait till dark. Haha. I am completely satisfied with these. Also Superbrightleds had a lifetime warranty.

Yea but with our US lights aligning to the ditch I like to think of it as added deer protection. Lol

Can anyone get me a pic of their 01-04 clutch master and the peddle where it mounts?

I'm planning my manual swap and if anyone can help is appreciate it.
