Yeah man, it was really easy to do and inexpensive.
I can take some better pics/close up ones to show you how I put it all together.

The bolts attach to the bed rail like this:
    20170512_200806.jpg
I used a large washer and nut to keep the bolt perpendicular to the rail.

Then, I put another nut followed by a washer on both bolts, where the hi-lift will rest:
    20170512_200724.jpg

the washers that make contact with the jack probably are not necessary, but it makes for a more snug fit.
    20170512_200735.jpg

In retrospect, the 5 inch bolts is not necessary. 2 x 4 in bolts would work just fine

Thanks, I've been working to make sure I have a dependable vehicle in the event of emergencies where I can get to where I need to get and communicate when I need to communicate... makes even more sense now that we moved to Hurricane territory.
That is my CA 2X4SR, I simply used a glass mount and stuck it on the back of the cab instead of on the Glass.. it has proven to be very strong and reliable in that location and I already know from a previous unfortunate event that it will not hurt the paint even when the entire thing is ripped off.

Are you worried about passing VA State Inspection with those Retros installed?

Not at all. There are a ton of mom and pop style inspection shops around here who will only fail you for MAJOR things. :D

Inspection and getting pulled over by a State Trooper are my only concerns to spending $800+.

Can I PM you to ask you about your install? I'm looking to put my radios in and I'm having a bit of a creative block concerning where to run my lines for everything...

It's always a risk I suppose. The cops around here ignore a whole lot of things and you really have to try to get their attention to get pulled over. Plus I won't be driving around with the halo eyes on or anything like that.
