What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I have been running my K&N CAI for 7 months with no issues at all. Never had a check engine light come on.

 

Was awesome to run into another 3rd Gen. truck owner in Pacific Beach on TacomaWorld, especially one who has all the metal on his truck that I want to perform (Bumper winch mount/LED light bar and welded rock sliders are a must.
His truck is the nicest 3rd Gen I've seen in person yet.

I've been looking at ARB Bull bars/winch bumpers for over a year. Once I finally got my beauty I've been ready to bolt on some front end protection and a winch, yours is the best I've seen and much lighter than steel.

I forgot to ask you yesterday, how does the impact measure up against steel? I want to have deer protection and while wheelin to be able to hit my front end into a tree at 5-10 mph and have it protect the hell out of all the priciest components of the truck.

 

I have a vinyl cutter, so just the cost of the material.

Just threw on my RCI rack, Gonna mount my tepui on it this weekend. Stoked to put this to use.. kinda miss my soft topper though lol

 

Picked it up after 2 days at the dealer for 15k service and diff howl. After the third time they opened a case with Toyota and they said it was within tolerance. Bunch of BS...

Hey! great running into ya and appreciate the love. Like I was saying, anytime I can point you away from hiccups I've run into while you're building yours out, I'd be more than happy to give my .02. As far as my bumper vs. steel, it will have some different characteristics... it'll nick and scrap a lot easier than steel, but the thick gauge Al and the sub-structure is in all the right places, so I'm not worried about it getting bent out of shape. As light as it is, it's still pretty beefy. The next time I'm planning on dropping it I'll let you know so you can see behind it. Take a look at the cbi offroad site and you can see the bar options. Met @916TacoTruck and bought his old Yakima rack from him. Added it to my bed bars with rotopaX plates and things are really started to take shape.....

Got a lift and wheels/tires today.
Tuff Country 3" leveling lift.
Fuel Vector D600 wheels.
Toyo R/T 285/70R-17 Tires.

Took off the front flaps for the install... will see if I can make them work. No rubbing unless I hit a big bump.
Rides great, a tiny bit louder but everything is smooth and rattle/shake/wobble free.
