By mid week next week (week of 3-15 - 3-20) I can have your wide set ready to go. It would be this week but I've put some street kits on hold due to this slider thing and need this week to build the street stuff. Normal turn around time on these sliders will most likely be about 1-2 weeks max.

Ok what ever works for you is good for me.

Hahahaha, X2 on that. youre going to be a busy ma once all your jigs are made and you start a list! especially since you are making bolt ons that are waay stronger than your average bolt on:)

haha. Thanks. To be exact, here are the dimensions below, this is tube to tube, center to center, for the main ones and the step, and starting at the pinch weld since that's directly above the inner main rocker tube. I can build them to any spec that someone wants, but these 2 are pretty R&Ded and seem to be good for the people that may want a narrower version, and the many that seem to like the wider version. Robert's tires are a narrow BGF, and his kickout is exactly the width his rear tire sticks out, and for the other guys who are running wider tire/wheel setups, the wider version kickouts should be right about where those rear tires stick out to, but with more door protection for things like trees and such. Robert had a narrow type slider in mind from the get go. Price is the same for both.

    Narrow:
2 main tubes center to center: 5"
    Kickout center to center: 7.5"

    Wide Version:
2 main tubes center to center: 7.5"
    Kickout center to center: 9"

I am going to do a few layers of plain black rustolium on mine. They are sliders that are made to be used, I would never spend the money on powdercoating. It is expensive and hard to touch up (blend)...and I fully plan on needing to touch these up.

In your thread in the BST section you mentioned possibly adding a step plate to the sliders. Is that an idea you're still working on?

Also, could the bolt ons be easy welded to the frame if someone changes his mind somewhere down the road and wants to use the sliders as a lift point?

Not yet. I got backed up making the jigs and I'm playing catch up, which I almost am. I have set I'll be building early this week and will calculate from them.

The weld on's will be identical to the bolt on's, minus the mounting hardware. Prices are below.

There are Hi Lift pics on the 2nd page of this thread. Robert did a great writeup in this link below. We did the Hi Lift test on the bolt on pair which to my knowledge hasn't been done or shown before.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/79451-got-sliders-slider-build-05-tacoma.html

The rear step on the kick out will be done on my original style (#1) to fill that area and add strength and looks. There will be a support tube and then another tube with either tabs and a bolt in aluminum step plate with dimple die holes (or no holes) or another will be a weld in steel plate step with or w/o holes. I'll be doing this very soon on a set and posting the pics.

    Syle #2 w/kickup

    Weld on $399
    Bolt on $439

    add $75

Beef can talk to you about weld on for these sliders, but as you can see in my thread ealier, these CAN and HAVE been used as lift point, for an entire side of my LOADED truck.

Gotcha. I must have gotten turned around in my thinking and forgot that that was a bolt on set. Impressive!

As a matter of fact, I just walked in my door after completing the install on them. They went right on with no hitch at all, perfect fit...did the install by myself (I figured these things would break my gf little arms if she helped..haha), and all the bolts dropped into place perfectly.

I will have a writeup-update done today sometime with some nice pics!

They turned out pretty good. I had to switch to the "pain/roll on" rustoleum, as spray leads to bad things here apparently, but they turned out ok!

    Update comming soon!
