Has anyone had water leaking from under the dash on the driver side? It has been raining all night and day here and I opened the truck door to find a puddle of water on my driver side floor. I dumped out the water and when I was driving I felt water dripping on my foot.

Can anyone give me some information on this I called the dealer and the truck is going in on Tuesday.

Have you messed with anything that might have caused this? Door seals, put on a roof rack, etc?

This is the first leak that I have heard of. The only others were people not getting roof rack seals back in place or from poorly wiring audio systems.

Don't fret over solving it, unless you think you caused it. Enjoy your warranty!

No the only thing I added was the LED Light bar on the front and where I ran the wire was dry.

I will enjoy the warranty. I just was hoping for some input from someone on here before I went to the dealership on Tuesday.

Any firewall penetration for your wiring?

Yes in the same location that other wiring is running into the cab.

Unless you've found the spot where water is coming through and it's not the spot you ran the wire, I would remove that custom wire from the truck before bringing it into the dealer.

They'll use that as an excuse to deny you a warranty. They're just a bunch of crooks and puppets... easier to charge you an hour or two of diagnostics time and have you pay full price for repairs than claim warranty at half rates.

IDK if you have a sun-roof, but if you do, then the drain tubes could be a culprit and should be fully covered under warranty.

My 2017 double cab TRD off road Tacoma with a roof rack and sunroof is also leaking water on the drivers' side. I've taken it to the dealership twice and yet the truck still leaks. Both times the dealership found the leak, repaired and "verified" it wasn't leaking, yet there still is water in the dash.

First was a foam seal from the roof rack and the second was a deformed seal in the "A" pillar. My truck still leaks after going to the dealership and being repaired twice. No telling what kinds of future problems I'll have with this new truck; corrosion of pin connectors, computer failures, sensor failures and rust. Not to mention even mold.

    Any updates?

I'm having this same problem right now..

Truck smells weird inside the cabin like damped clothes but I didn't paid much attention to it. This past Sunday I took the driver spot's all weather floor mat out to clean off the dirt on it and low and behold a puddle of water.. I took off the panels to access the floor mat on all four doors to check and only the driver side is wet. WTF TOYOTA??

I'm about to to take this thing to the dealer come Monday. If y'all have any updates please post them up.

I believe mine is coming from the A pillar I took the kick panel off and you can see the drops of water coming down especially when it rains really hard.

My truck has A sunroof they blew the drains out but still leaks. The thing is the dealer won't take anything apart till they find where the leak is coming from.
