Gonna need someone that has a SC to be the guinea pig :) I'll probably order race version to compliment SC install in the coming months.

Another question. Were your SPAL's wired to factory harness? If so, how'd it handle the current draw as these fans take some juice. I would think alternator would need to be upgraded as well.

I had upgraded to the 130 amp Denso alternator, some time ago. Originally, my factory equiped 90 Amp, showed signs of too much draw, when the fans kicked on.

I purchased their fan harness, and wired it in. Well, had Kozmic wire it in. It is not wired to the factory harness though. Only thing is that once the fans are turned on by its t-stat, they stay on until the truck is turned off.

I use a dakota digital pac-2750 controller with my duel efans. you have options on how you want to run the fans as well as being able to adjust the on and off temperatures. I run an inline temp sensor using a basic ebay inline housing. I would imagine that the fans should be turning off for you but I am thinking that they aren't reaching their off temp that is needed on the relay unit.

Better solution than my current one. I could tie it into my Haltech ECU, and have it control them. Was not an option before. The confounded ProEFI was just cumbersome.

Any comments on fan noise or current draw? I've converted to electric fans on previous modified trucks, and it sounded like a loud hair dryer when running under the hood. Granted your truck is pushing the envelope, but while I advocate for function over form, it was obnoxious on a daily driver.

My twin 12" are barely able to be heard when both are running. Under 20amps max draw. About 1/10th of the mechanical fan I removed in power consumption due to how I wired it in.

I will see about getting a short video. The phone video won't be as accurate as quality sound equipment, but hey, they work for exhaust video clips. :rimshot:

Call them up! Just make sure to ask for the price of each.

    Hmmmm. Maybe?

Don't know if they have one made? You're close. Stop by!

That was the core radiator that I had originally shipped them, for mock-up.

Being that they have all of their required specifications, I imagine a couple weeks. Whereas before it was a few months.

I emailed and asked for prices. Torspd's setup is about $1700. The cheaper one (no fans) is closer to $1100. 6 weeks to make it. I guessed about 1/2 that much. Swing and a miss.

Dang 1700, it's super important for maxing out these motors though...

Time to start saving? Maybe my fabricator can weld me up one for cheaper lol

Yeah, thats pretty pricey. High up on the cool factor though! Worth it for someone whos kickin some serious hp or horrible conditions.
I think I'll just look into switching to electric fan.
I had a chevelle once and switched from a flex fan to electric. There was a distinct difference noticed on the butt dyno.
I switched to electric on my old 95 taco, mainly because the fan clutch went out anyway.
