If I don't get it, hopefully I can figure out how to get on the roof or something. Nashville should be on the edge of the partial eclipse zone.

Dammit Carter. Went to low3s for some ant killer and came back with ant killer and came back with 2- 1/2" shackles. Anyone know if any anyone makes a 5/8" shackle?

But yes, they do make a 5/8" shackle. I have one. That's what we were using to pull people at lbl. 5/8 will for through the stock recovery point iirc

Edit- that was a 1/2. Also have 5/8 but I don't remember where I got it. It will
Not for the stock recovery point. I had to file out the hole when I was using it.

Ok. The package tag says 4000 lbs safe working load. Just need them for the front. Maybe DYF could R&D an alternative hook for me since the stock offroad hook doesn't fit with my guard for monies. @beertimecontinuum

I picked up an SOS recovery point bracket that is SUPPOSED to fit in place of the oem OR recovery point and allow you to use a shackle. UNFORTUNATELY, it doesn't work in conjunction with the TRD skid plate. Now before everyone chimes in on how bogus the TRD skid plate is, it's what I have for the time being. Same plate protected @beertimecontinuum 's truck for a while, now it's doing the same for me. The SOS bracket requires you cut metal away from the skid plate in an already "suspect" area. What is already easy to bend would be ridiculously easy.....The bracket fits, but the shackle would hit the skid plate when pulled from that point. It's just a bad design for use with that skid plate. (I already know the rep for SOS in this forum....)

Long story short, I have an idea of how to redesign the bracket, using a 3rd bolt, and centering it in the opening of the skid plate, allowing it to be used with a shackle.

All THAT said, I don't care much for the stock OR recovery point. It works....but that's about it. Good thing I never get stuck, huh?

It took me 2 years to get stuck while lifted. Take a bad line in sand/mud/rock lake beach and then see. Of course, your stt pros probably would make short work of it than my worn out ass KO's :anonymous:

question for you guys who have replaced brakes and rotors. i recall some discussion a while back (might have been quite a while back) about some different brands to replace with. I seem to recall EBC and greenstuff being mentioned and Power Stop brand rotor and pads. The Power Stop has a lot of good reviews on Amazon, but are they too good a deal to be true? Seems you get what you pay for a lot time and they are pretty inexpensive. Anybody have any suggestions? There are not too many reviews on Amazon of the EBC but there are a few negative. Amazon is the extent of my review research so far though. As always, thanks for any input.
