I was not, nor was anyone that I was aware of, in the danger zone at anytime.
No damper needed for synthetic line.
    Thanks for caring Lloyd

We have been aware of AOAA for quite some time. Garrett mentioned maybe checking it out back in September or October iirc. Just glad we finally went. So now I have undiscovered trails in two places.

Man that looked like a blast. I will definitely go next time. Even if my dog has a beauty appointment.

Looks like I may be joining a yota offroad club too. They were at AOAA yesterday. They had one rig leave on a wrecker.

Especially with how tight the trails are. But the place is huge. Only saw a group of quads yesterday. And heard some side but sides.
Anyone who thinks Tatas is a tight trail will be in for a surprise at AAOA. Not friendly to trail limos.

Most of Rausch is open by comparison. The coal roads are open at AOAA. The rest we were on were tight. But we only ran about 15% of the western trails

It was def much tighter than rausch. I was up close and personal with a lot more trees for sure.

Considering it was a rainy day, there were a good amount. They also welcome non motorized guests which scares me a bit...

    Everything TW members recommend
Check the two dudes out in front of the Jeep at 0.23 secs on the video

Of course a damper is recommended and required by others for safety. Which is why most 4X4 competition rules (that include winching in the competition) absolutely REQUIRE synthetic rope, but then go ahead REQUIRE at least two dampeners be used. Rules will continue to require that "there must be an individual cable dampener within 4 metres of any hook, pulley blocks, cable joiner, or shackle used in any recovery operation."
In fact, the WARN, ARB dampeners specifically meets those 4WD competition requirements.

Of course I care Jon. Which is why I brought it up.
