Don't risk a ticket man! You have a suction mount or anything? I have one for my GoPro but cant really see where to mount it not in the way of anything needed for driving

I am guessing if toyota got off there lazy ass and heard enough complaints they could re flash the automatic.

For some it seems. I'm totally content with OEM. I think the more heavy footed driver you are the more you complain about the transmission.

They can be bad driving in higher speeds with a lot of hills , mountain terrain. Level roadways its no problem.

It is super easy install took me about 20 minutes. Maybe you can do a stock truck review, but really get out for a nice long drive like i did with all different road conditions especially the incline hills mountain roads! The instruction book said it will get better over a period of time!

Toyota's main programing "D" seems to be an ECO mode for the EPA. The truck also has a power mode "ECT" . There is also a manual mode "S" . Some of can be used in conjuction also.
This new product is another option to make better use the power band of the engine and not have to manually shift it. This is my take anyway .So far the reviews have been good.
The new Fords have 3 trans shifting modes also . ECO,Towing , and sport. So this is the future .
    A lot has changed since 2007 .

I am hoping this helps my truck maintain high speeds. I drive at around 85mph at least four times a week and its really sluggish up there in addition to constantly shifting around. My area has lots of wind, inclines and declines, and its annoying to maintain my speed. I drove a 2010 4.0 for six years before I traded in and I miss how the old one handled at higher speeds.

Does the controller work significantly better than driving in ECT mode?

After my test trip i felt it was significantly better. In my opinion this unit gives you more then the just the ECT can. But again my truck is not stock i am running 285/70/17's and a lot of added weight!

Hate to disagree with you...it doesn't matter hard or soft on the pedal. Truck shifts like crap. My shiftsense will be here Monday!

It was posted earlier in the thread that pages 94-95 in the manual cover it. It involves using the dash settings (not the main headunit).

Be stopped, go to settings on the screen by the speedo, pop up screen, uncheck gear change. It's something like that

You non lifted guys won't see a difference like this, but one trip I take every other week nets me around 9.5 miles per gallon for the first 1/4 tank. With this thing installed I got 13.4.

@dcz108 do you need to mount the black box outside of the center console plastic cover? Or can you tuck it away somewhere hidden?
