It doesnt look as bad as some of the other rock gardens they have had though. But who knows what the whole trail is like. It sounds like once you are in it, you are in it and there arent any bypasses.

No luck selling my new RCI rack, so I decided to drop the price if anyone is interested. Only a couple months old. Powder coated black. Mint. Fits 5' bed. $550. I'll throw in the TredPro, axe and 3 sets of quick fists for an extra $250. Never used. Thanks

Not much really. Just Forrest service roads that are never maintained and still partially blocked with snow. I definitely played it conservative tonight as I still don't have a winch and I was solo. Didn't see a soul, except for the drive back, on my adventure tonight. Went up exit 38 a ways, side tracked on tinkham road and checked out Denny Creek road. Still snow about 1/2 way up and I was breaking trail. Checked out the silver peak/backside of hyak road, still a bit of snow there. Ventured to the gold creek side and it's still snowed in a mile or so off the pavement. Checked out kachees and stampede. Stampede is clear to the end of pavement, and beyond some.

I'd be curious to see where you went exactly @utroda as we only saw the pin striping in the bottom of the canyons. Could stay up top to avoid them.

Also jealous that you saw a bear -.-

Just past the wind farm on the left, there's a small lot there. Mile post 18. We where about 8 miles in when we saw the bear

Also if you keep going all the way like 24 miles in you can camp down on the Columbia river. There's a couple sandy beaches... might have to do a small group camping trip before it gets super dry out there

If anyone with a 1st gen has Dakar rear leaves (CS046R's) and is looking for a set of D43XL extra leaves, I'm selling mine. They're full length and good quality.

Since I took off the roof rack and sold the SnugTop canopy, I don't need them anymore. Pulled them out yesterday. Other than dirty, they're in great shape. Think they've only been installed for a year or so. If interested, let me know.

Yeah, we camped right on the river where Whiskey Dick Creek drained in.

It was muddy AF... you found actual sand???

Here's our route... the NW tail is where we exited at the windfarm. We entered on that southern point and made that big loop, camping on the river.

Truck may be going up for sale this week.. Thinking about building something that fits my wheeling style better. And no, its not a Jeep.

No, going to keep the Volvo. Found out the GX's get around 15mpg avg, not 17-18 like I was hoping. For the amount of miles I commute a 10mpg cut is pretty big, but I'd love to have a GX.
