Just bought a 3rd Gen 2017 TRD off-road. Did I make a mistake?

I love my truck and every time I see the older gens on the road, I'm glad I got the updated look.

Just enjoy it

 

Here are the pics. I don't really like the TRD grill and I intend to change it sooner rather than later. I didn't really like the blue color, but it has grown on me.

 

I have 5,000 miles on my 2017 OR and am very happy with it. Just pulled my Boston Whaler 160 Dauntless with it the first time today (AT) and it did great.

 

Nice truck, will look much better without the Stock Grille.

 

OK fruitcake I'll pop the hood and toot the horn on my first gen and get your ladyfriend's panties soaking on any given sunday. How's that plastic trim working out for you? While you're wondering why your incredible charm isn't soaking her panties, I'll be thanking you for the free babysitting service and taking my plastic fantastic (which was put together in San Antonio- but probably still by Pablo) wheeling.

 

Having both a 1st and 3rd gen in the driveway to compare, I'd have to say your assessment is a bit wrong. The 1st gen feels more like a kid's toy now by comparison but you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

 

Skipped reading the thread but welcome and good job on picking up a MANual transmission. 24k and 13 months owning my '16 Sport MT and I still love driving the truck. I get looks and comments a lot and it's been as reliable as the Toyota name. Enjoy your truck.
