Nothing to report besides my RTT should be shipping tomorrow or the next

But I need a huge favor from another short bed owner, I need a measurement from the back of the cab (end of the bedcap will work) to the center of the rear hub

Shouldn't be an issue, basically just need from the back of the cab to the center of the hub, being off an inch or two wont be a huge deal

Great Build! Would recommend 37s over 35s?

Thanks, I couldn't really recommend 37s over 35s. I really just did it to do something different, not many 2nd gens on 37s without LT/SAS/BL/DB lifts. But at some point down the road the truck is getting SASd so I figured the room I'm making now will allow me to run larger tires.

But the downsides are 488 is just enough gearing, but could use more. Tires are expensive, and not many people keep them in stock. Finding a shop to mount and balance them can be tricky.

I don't regret doing it so you can make your own decision. This trip coming up at the end of the month I'll be on 35s just to make things easier

Well shit. There goes my plan for 37s
Figured the super charger would offset the issue of 37s with 4.88s

It might, I'm not supercharged. But long hills are not fun if you actually care about your transmission, 220deg was a constant for hills in DV with @inv3ctiv3 and I was getting pretty annoyed having to slow down all the time to give the truck a break

Soon, got my Employer Idendification Number today for import so shits about to get real

@ChandlerDOOM You might have mentioned this somewhere in the thread but im only into page 42 and haven't seen it yet. I have Icon 2.5 Reservoirs on all 4 and Im curious what your ride height is center cap to fender up front? Just wondering how far I can push the adjustment.

Thanks for replying that makes sense though. We will see where I go with my truck I've only had it for about a month so it will still be a little bit before I have to make that decision

Most of the perceived height is from the tires and the trimmed fenders just to give you a heads up, my CV angles are near stock angles so lift height isn't much. But this weekend ill do my best to get that measurement for you

Yea definitely especially cause im currently sitting on 265s, going to 285s next week. Still trying to tweak my suspension a little to get a good stance without overextending my coilovers.

I can understand. I worried about height a little in the past, more so to keep my 35s from rubbing because I wasn't cutting enough. With more preload you'll increase your CV angle (torn boots, Break CVs) and have a rougher ride. So really its up to you how much of the negative your willing to deal with for lift. Personally I would wait until your 33s are on and see how you feel about it, just the tires alone may change your mind about adding preload

Yea definitely, not wanting to damage something I just purchased. Would limiting straps prevent this, as it would control the travel down and not cause it to overextend?

Alright, sort of a "pre" update.

So since I am about to enter the production phase of the chariot of doom's new make over, I can share what I am working on. The plan was always to eventually have a flatbed and camper to match, sort of like a mini earthroamer. Well the camper part is still a work in progress, so many possibilities makes it hard to really narrow down the end look. For the mean time the truck is getting a matching aluminum canopy for the bed, along with a hardshell RTT mounted on top. The RTT is on its way, unfortunately will not be here in time for my trip to UT but whatever.
