Back to the Future?

Am I the only one who finds this awesome? Does anyone make tubular bumpers for 3rd gens?

 

Toyota went back to the 30s with their howling differential technology.

 

It's cool that they remember their past but unfortunately it's a far cry from that beautiful 1985 SR5 extra cab that was in the movie.

 

I definitely agree with that... but we gotta take what we can get I guess.

 

There was a dealer out in CA that sold a truck that did have that front bumper on it.

Otherwise I haven't found the individual parts for sale which that specific truck used.

Some dealers have made replicas using pieces like the n-Fab bed bar and various front light bar setups like the Revtek.

I test fit my n-Fab bed bar on my truck and didn't think it suited the 2016 trucks that well but that might have been a DCSB think compared to the AC of the BTTF truck.

If you try to replicate, good luck!

 

Memories.
In 1988 I bought a new regular cab 4x4 with all kinds of dealer add-on's, like nerf bars, a front light bar and a cool rooftop aero light bar shaped like a triangle that flipped up 2 off road lights. Boy I wish I still had that puppy. Black, 4cyl, 5 speed.

 

I've got a buddy who does some fabrication work, I am going to see him this week and see what he can come up with... so I guess we'll see what happens
