Seems like you're only about an hour from Rangeley? Little under 2 hours from my place

Not a horrible idea! Can beer is pretty easy to deal with though, it can come on the boats (we will have 3) and we all spread out over a few thousand acres.

We are 7 miles up the lake on a remote campsite, basically an island. We take the boats there and camp there all week. It's a 30 minute steam back to the truck, a 20 mile drive down a dirt road and then a ways to the store. Three hours might be an exaggeration but when you are on an island in the middle of nowhere it might as well be 10 hours.

Yeah but I live in Maine...

True. Though I'd be surprised if they were still using their original recipe. :notsure:

Richardson would be cooler if it wasn't for the dam between it and Mooselookmeguntic. Just think of how much water you could paddle to, without a portage

Wonder if it is sold in NH? You aren't that far from the NH boarder, right?

They're about the same; MA is an hour and forty-five and NH is about an hour and forty. One way.
So either way I'm looking at a 4 hour round trip, which means I'm not interested in making it, lol. Between gas and time it's more than craft beer.

Richardson is huge and is an amazing fishery. It's also the only body of water up there that supports togue. Last year amoung 6 of us there was a 5, 6, 7 and 10lb togue caught, a 4-1/2lb brook trout and dozens of keeper sized salmon (although no big boys). We used to do this same trip on Mooselook, but the salmon fishery is horrible and the lake is flat out dangerous. Out of all the lakes I have been on in the Northeast (and I've fished a lot of them), Mooselook scares me more than almost any of them. It's decieveing. On Richardson I can pull my small boat up there which is nice because it's a nightmare driving in there.

Maine is deceptively sized on the map. It's much larger than it looks when you see it on google earth

Yeah, the local beer shop has said that they can get it if I want them to, but they haven't actually done it yet, lol. I've asked a few times, he says he'll put it on his next order, and it never shows up.

Yeah it is. I went up to Portland this winter and I thought Wells wasn't too far from Portland. Guess I thought it only took me 30 minutes from NH/ME line to Portland, but I guess not.

I live in Wales, though. Not Wells. Wells is only about 35-40 minutes from the border.
