What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

have not driven it in a while now, decided to park it near the junk pile while I wait for a chance to get the springs replaced.

Bought 2 new batteries for my F350 as I could only get one cycle of Glow plugs, wow this thing cranks fast with a fresh pair installed and can do several GP cycles.

What are you using to apply the tire shine?

 

I'm just spraying it on.

 

5100 installed, leveled, new rims and tires, no rub, and an alignment. Finally done.....for now!

Got my lift today...Just need to decide on tires now.

 

Oh hell yes! You gonna do the work yourself? Make sure you check out your alignment cams and bolts. Theyre very prone to seizing. If you havent get them out and grease them up sooner than later.

My front LCA cams were both seized, but I had enough wiggle room with the rears to get them into alignment spec. Will be replacing my bushings and cams down the road. Bushings will be Energy Suspension poly. Haven't decided on cams. Would love to see someone produce some stainless steel options. Sick of dealing with the rust and it doesn't take much for them to start seizing.

Tell them to check those cams them. If they're already free, have them take them out and put a liberal coat of anti-seize on them. You'll have to get an alignment anyway, so it's not much more work, to have them serviced.

Yes i'm interested in the tight spots like in the door jams and cracks. How does that work with the wrap?

 

KMC XD301 paired with Falken Wildpeak A/T tires.

 

To further pry into your setup... i assume 265/75 r16? any chance you'd have a pic down the side to show how far this is sticking out? I REALLY like the look man!

 

Tires are 265 70 17. I believe the rims have -6mm offset.

 

I had the e-brake engage on me one day while I was backing out of a parking spot so it had to come apart this past weekend. Ended up replacing the driver side rear drum cylinder, along with all rest of the crap in there while I was at it. Also bled all the brakes.

 

Ok so these are the 17x8.5 rims then. I was wondering about that rim width, quite a bit more than the stock 7". looks great though
