bone stock save for the block lift that came on it with the open country m/t.
does anyone own or know anyone who owns one? what brands to get or stay away from? I am riding the fence about getting one since SC made it legal to hunt all deer season long with one. It would be my "rifle" during rifle season, but keep in mind I don't want to break the bank. cheers

Very touchy subject among bowhunters/archers. I don't have an opinion either way.

I've got one (Barnett Widcat C5) it's the lightest, fastest (320 fps) and least expensive of all the crossbows I researched. They are devestating weapons you can hit a fly on an elephant at 50 yds with enough fps of energy to probably drop the elephant.

If you do buy the Barnett I suggest you get a 6 pack of (Horton carbon strike MX) arrows they are much better quality than the ones Barnett sends with the package. You won't be disappointed..

    Good Luck!
