Maine is almost the same size as the other five New England states combined. The North Maine Woods alone are about the size of Connecticut.

It really is incredible how long you can drive while seeing nothing if you go north of Millinocket through all the unnamed places like T2 R7.

 

Yeah, if you add together NH, VT, CT, & MA, we've still got 1/4 of Rhode Island on you.

 

Most people don't know the mountains and lakes region in western Maine very well

 

Or you could just pack light and bring some . No hangover, minimal weight, AND - its really not bad for the waist line!

 

Except for the munchies it gives you!

 

Right. You don't have to bring any booze, but you'll have eaten through your week's supply of food in 2 days.

I do usually bring a couple of nice cigars when I go camping, though.

Crazy busy at work this am now its super slow, think i may just leave now to go get my garden in.

@Jcyr looks like an awesome trip! If I didn't work so damn much, and could somehow convince my gf to take time off... Would love to have made the trip out there. Let me know if you're going again! This job I'm on is done in early June, and next year I'll actually have time off. Bought and installed all this crap for my truck to take a trip to Moab and other parks... Go camping... Do fun things... And then life happened...
