matching my Pro Grille "TOYOTA" lettering with Plasti Dip?

Hey guys. I'm wanting to dip my chrome badges to match the color of my pro grill lettering. Does anyone know if this is possible with plasti dip? I was thinking the Anthracite Grey looks close, but may be too dark?

Anyone try this?

 

Which badges? The ones on the tailgate?

 

yes the ones on the tailgate and the chrome "Tacoma" on each door.

IDK, I like the ones on the doors. For the tailgate, if it's a little dark I don't think it would matter. It's not like you'd be able to compare the two side by side. When in doubt, just go black!

Definitely black then. It looks great on MGM! That's what I did on mine.

 

The only badge on the Tailgate is a small "V6", thats why l assumed doors.

 

Ahh, gotcha. I'm not too familiar with the pros so I wasn't sure.

 

Just have the pro grille on a trd OR DCSB

 

So many plot twists. If you're up for it, try the anthracite, but black badges on an MGM will definitely look good.

 

The anthracite grey/ gunmetal will be darker than the color of the TOYOTA on the pro grille

It is not just Pro, 3rd Gen has recessed letters for Tacoma and a small V6 Badge.

 

i've try it on my toyota logo and it was darker

Is that the grey plasti dip on your side emblems? It looks good. Any chance on getting a better close up of it?

 

So basically you want to color match your emblems with the color of your car. Cuz I have the pro grille and the TOYOTA letter color is really close to the mag grey metallic color, just a little lighter.

 

Well I don't have the pro grille yet, so I wasn't aware it was so close to MGM. Once again i'll likely just go black, or one of the darker gunmetal or grey plasti dips.
