this morning was hell. over an hour for 26 miles and seen 6 wrecks and a very close one due to some tacoma driver being a doucher.

just caught this gem. my wife, mother, son, and brother were in my truck and i was on the motorcycle in the left lane. dumb ass b**** just blindly pulls out in 40mph traffic. my wife locked up the tires on the truck for just a second, and i locked up the rear tire on my bike for a good 15 feet or so. damn near caused a crash with my whole family.

And to make it worse, that's the DMV the mustang is pulling out from.

Stay away from the DMV. Think about it; know how you find tons of sick people at the hospital? DMV is like that but for drivers.

 

Man, that's a pucker moment. At least the mustang committed and kept going as opposed to slamming on it's brakes potentially causing your wife to swerve and hit you. lad everyone's OK.

 

I've had my dash cam for a couple months so far and have yet to catch anything really dumb.

Question: how many of you running dash cams who have captured a wreck on your camera have had to deal with supplying evidence...? I was thinking about that the other day coming down from the north country on the super sketchy I-17 and thought how must being on that stretch of highway increases the chances of seeing or being in an accident.

 

I've thought of this too. If I were to capture an accident, I would happily pull over and give my contact information to the drivers/police and let them know I caught it on film and I'll email it to them if they want.

That's it, I'm buying a dash cam this morning. I was holding off because I wanted a nice one, but I just need something up there. I was leaving breakfast this morning, and pulled onto the main road. 3 lanes each way with a divider. As I'm pulling onto the road, further ahead a woman pulls out but turns LEFT onto the road, GOING THE WRONG WAY. There was a break in traffic, so I frantically honked my horn and waved my arm out the window trying to signal her to turn around, but she looked at me like I was crazy and kept going. Approaching traffic all slowed down and honked and I think she finally turned around. Luckily no one was hurt.

That's exactly what I got! Just installed it this morning.

 

Usually people who drive like that are the "my license is suspended and has been suspended 3x over but the state doesn't have the resources to hunt me down" type of people.

It's the price we pay for not having a nanny state that will come down on you like a ton of bricks, confiscate your car, and force your dumb ass to buy a bus pass.

I'll have to clean out my dash cam, I think the only funny thing I caught so far was a woman trying to steal a road sign that was too big for the back of her car so she couldn't fit it in.

I actually do have some more fun ones saved, though. I tend to just forget about them, keep the road rage at bay and just "let it go" so I end up forgetting. Gonna see about trimming and uploading.
