    Hey Guys,
A little while ago I purchased a CURT front mount 2" receiver for my Taco, and when I went to mount it the holes on the frame did not line up with the hitch. I ended up returning it.

This is the hitch I got previously https://www.amazon.com/CURT-31013-F...54283&sr=8-1&keywords=2002+tacoma+front+hitch

I'm about to try a different design hitch now (reese/draw-tite) listed here to see if it's any different. I hope this fits.

I'm a little nervous though that maybe the pre-runners are different or something?

For what it's worth, Toyota just did the frame replacement about 2 months ago lol, so now maybe the old one I returned may have fit? I have no idea!

I can find installation instructions, but I cant seem to find any blueprrints or anything on these hitches so it's not easy for me to measure before purchasing. As you can imagine, returning these if they dont fit is a bit of a pain.

Hoping someone has an idea for me :D

    Thanks!

Usually on these hitches you have to remove the rear bumper and then slide the hitch in...in between the frame and bumper. So the hitch is sandwiched in the middle. Should have been the same on the curt as well. I used to install both brands a few years ago.

Sorry, this was a FRONT hitch I'm talking about, not the rear.

I know how to install it, but the holes did not line up on the frame on the first hitch I got.

The rear hitch is fine no issues I already put one of those on long time ago

Just what are you planning to use it for

Might just be easier to have one built to your measurements

How far were the holes off ??

If you couldn`t even catch the M 12 welded nuts were the Tow hooks were??

I wonder if you needed to trim the front of the frame off

Like you do with most After market bumper installs

It might be possible you got one boxed incorrect
