Western Massachusetts Tacomas

Hoping for Southwick but may end up in Westfield. Depends on price and what I am looking for.

 

Both are pricey comparatively

 

haha everywhere in Mass is ridiculous especially after living in the south for so long. But westfield is where my wife and I are from so we are trying to get back closer to her family.

 

This is true, the Berkshires and smaller hill towns outside of Westfield are cheaper

Ya I would love to live out there. It just all depends where I will get a decent job at. trying to refrain from doing gov contracting overseas. but really if I can find a decent job I am open for living anywhere just southwick is my preference at this point. I may have a job up in Devens but that's a little farther northeast of Worcester.

 

Are you looking to live in the western part of Mass. and travel to Devens? That is a haul.

 

No, if I get the job up at Devens then I will for sure move out that. Depending on whether that job is worth it or not. But it would add some convenience because I will conducting my drill weekends at Devens when I transition over to the Reserves. But I would much rather live out in W. Mass and commute to my one weekend a month drill weekend out at Devens.

 

Yea I know... My mom bought it brand new in 1999, has almost an acre

I am an Intelligence Analyst in the Army currently. Trying to get into either business analytics...so thinking probably Springfield or Hartford is going to be the best shot. But what I would much rather do is work in Operations or Program Management so that would open my options up a little more. I am really looking hard into working on the powerlines too mostly because I am so damn sick of working indoors and it drives me nuts haha.

Ya Westover has very limited positions for Army so Devens was my best shot. Plus I am going from a Staff Sergeant position to become a Warrant Officer and the only Warrant positions are at Devens.

 

Ya no positions for me out there. That would have been awesome though.

If you are interested in power lines, I know a guy at Westfield Gas and Electric and my Uncle works in CT for a power company out there

 

They were just moving the 15s in there right before I left. They use the gorge as a landmark. I see them flying over when I am fishing.
