This is my 5th Toyota, 1st Tacoma. Prior 2X Highlander, 2X RAV4. I find the drivers seat in my new SR5 4X4 uncomfortably warm. Warmer that any of my last 5 Toyotas. I do not have heated seats. Grey interior.

Is the seat heater on by default and malfunctioning? Do you have heated seats? If it's just hot because it doesn't breath try seat covers? Have seen many complain the seats are not comfortable and I agree but not that they're too hot.

Cut back on the Taco Bell runs. This should help.

Put on some clazzio leather seat covers or something. Crank up the AC

Maybe because the 3rd gens have a 100% black interior?

Either that or the fabric is different.....

Or maybe try the Katzkin Degreez cooling $eats...
    https://katzkin.com/interiors
Scroll down and read about it. Says "universal OEM quality heating AND cooling system"
    Maybe that will help

A lot of that is the newness of the material - as it gets worn a bit it doesn't hold heat like it does new. I was concerned about the same thing but after the foam / chemicals have a chance to air out over a couple of months time its quite comfortable. Had the same thing happen again when I put on my Coverking Neoprene and it burned me up! ...until they aired out for a bout a week on the seats and then... heat gone.
