Has anyone tried these with cam burg upper control arms? I have the ones with ball joints and a 26mm socket will not fit on the castle nut.

Anyone have any input on this? I'm at a stand still until I can get these damn upper ball joints tightened.

I ended up finding a smaller castle nut with the same threads. Sits pretty level got a little bit of Carolina squat. I might get some new springs for the rear.

I was all set to install my spindles, kings & UCAs this coming Friday. Until yesterday I found out my uniballs are rusted into the UCA cups, a 12 ton press couldn't even convince them. So now they're soaking in penetrating oil until I try again Thursday evening. If they still don't come out I won't be able to install anything on Friday, and also no idea WTF to do next to get them out. :angrygirl:

Don't take this the wrong way but this is exactly why I didn't go with uniball uppers and went with the camburg ball BJ UCA. Hopefully you can get er worked out.

None taken. I Bought the arms used so I dont know if they were assembled with any grease or anti-seize. I've done & seen done many uniballs in my time, as long as the cup is properly prepped when the bearing is installed its not a problem. If I could secure the arms somehow I'd just take a sledge to the bearing :smash:

3/2 inch lift, snorkel, 9k winch, stereo, only the finest air fresheners AutoZone has to offer
    Got the 6/4 maxtrac kit
2 inch spacers, 16x10 ion alloys, 285 Kanata mud hawgs
Took about four hours total to install due to issues unrelated to the lift..siezed cam tabs and bushings and a brake line crossthreaded and wouldn't let the hose go.
Over all it was a pretty straight forward install and everything's good so far.

I see everyone paints their maxtracs whether it be another color or rustoleum black. Is that to prevent rust/fading because the paint it comes with is kinda crappy?

    Nice! That's bad ass!
The Maxtracs are solid iron and will rust if you don't.
    I like it!

I just cleaned em really good with soapy water and a brush.

    Let dry real good.

And hit em with 3-5 coats of Rustoleum 2in1 paint/primer

You could technically prime, then paint. But I use this stuff all the time and it works well.

Just curious does anyone still rub with MaxTrac's up front? I'm rubbing in reverse only on the front plastic inner fender. Thinking about either taking it out or putting some heat to it and bending it back a little.

    Wheel specs?

I haven't trimmed the front fender yet. Tires are 285/70/17r, fuel trophies with 4.5" back spacing I believe. I should also note that I haven't had the truck aligned yet, if that will make any difference.

Nice, probably still need to do some trimming of the fender flare.

How's it driving without be aligned?

That's the size tire I want to run
