You can check my fuellie data in my signature. I've tracked every mile and every drop of fuel since new. Only gotten over 19mpg twice in 20K miles.

I admire the lane splitters for their bravery... but on the other hand, they are pretty much a menace and tend to pop out of nowhere, especially on the bay bridge.

That seems off. I had a 100 mile trip home when mine had 5 miles on it and averaged 18ish cruising 70 which is about what it does today. You should be getting atleast 16 more like 17 round town or 70+ interstate. If cruising 50-60 in 6th you can get in the 20s if on flat road.

Just to give a reference point, I typically shift at 3k+ rpm and cruise between 2500k and 3k rpm. I get about 11-14 mpg running around town to go to the store, get food, etc. On my ~30 mile commute to work 95% on the highway, I get anywhere from 19-21. I think my overall average is right around 17.5-18.

Keep up with traffic just fine! Just don't ride the guy in front of me!

I am worried about the 1-2 mpg so I can buy the 93 octane for the Mustang GT! I feel sorry for myself!

Damn, I've seen better fuel economy towing 5000lbs with my Frontier Pro-4x 6spd. You must be leaking fuel?

I was talking about First and Second Gear not once you finally get up to speed. I am finding myself having to shift at 4000 RPMs in First and Second just to get moving.

I don't think it can be reset manually can it? I thought it automatically resets itself when you fill up the tank????

I have my tires at 47 psi and it rolls pretty well. It definitely rolls better than at 35psi. The ride does not seem rough either.

My truck only got 14.5 MPG or so for the first 800-1200 miles. After that it moved up to about 20 MPG with no difference in how I drove it.

What in the hell is the point?

It's like you've gone out and intentionally made driving this truck a frustrating chore.

    OP here.

It's been three days since I took that initial picture. As you can see I have put less than 100 miles on the car since then, and almost half the tank is gone. I have been driving fairly reserved without going higher than 3K RPM. this is probably majority driving around on the streets with about 20% highway. So, mostly stop and go traffic.

This seems really low. I don't know if I should take it back to the dealer or what. With this type of mileage I'd rather get a F150 or colorado turbo diesel.

I got piss poor mileage for the first 500 miles then got a little bump in mileage. At just over 1000 miles I got another bump in mileage. Then another bump around 1500 miles. After that the mileage was still running lower than specs. I changed octane rating ann got another 1.5 extra miles to the gallon. I had the latest programing done for my automatic and finally broke the 22mpg on the highway. This is on a stock v6 auto offroad model. I drive a distinct path to and from work everyday so it was very easy to see the mileage changes. I drive the same route 7 miles each way a dead split between street and highway. This truck hates short trips and loves 60 mile trips running between 45 mph and 60 mph. All trips running Chevron California gas.

I'm averaging 18.1 after 10949 miles as tracked by Fuelly. City driving will get you with this truck. As well as highway driving above 70. Some days I'm late and I get after it, other days I'm inclined to take a back road. I've seen consistently better (1-3mpg) since I moved out of the city. That wouldn't account for your 12/13. I think you may have some under inflated tires, a brake dragging, or something else going on.

For the first two months of ownership, I was getting 23-25 mpg. 8 months later and I can't even get better than 18..
