Staying up late tonight getting ready for 3 nights starting tomorrow. Got sunburned as hell today working outside on my one day off. Also found a big bee hive in the water meter box while out mowing.

Acid etched the silhouette of a tarpon. 9 volt battery, cotton swabs and white vinegar.

Played around with it on my break. Turned out pretty good for my 1st attempt.

Hopefully I can keep my beer cool for a bit instead of having to chug them because they warm up so fast.

14 days until I head for the keys to do some fishing:)

Looks like it left a good etch. Haven't tried it on the tumbler cups but have done it to glassware before. We used contact paper for making stencils.

I need to come up with a better method for the stencils. I'll do some You Tubing later to see what is the easiest.

I'll look into the contact paper trick.

I hate fucking trailer wiring. rewired it because none of the lights other than the two side markers would work, now, the left rear marker wont light up, and the brake/running light wont come on, but the blinker works, adn the right rear the running light dosent go out when the blinker comes on.... i don't know WTF is going on, as all the wiring test out just fine on a voltmeter

    What kind of meter?

I found that using a digital multi meter is not the best. Use the old school analog units to save your sanity.

The "ghost" voltage will drive you nuts. A good, old needle and dial is the best way.

Well, when the ambient temp is 90*, it don't stay cold very long, no matter how cold it was when it first gets opened.

I kinda want to enjoy a beer while sitting on the boat.

I do like to slam down my beers on a regular occasion, but in this case, I want to take it slow.

If you're using a 7-way, check for correct wiring in the plug. Clean out the bulb sockets. Check the ground side of the sockets back to ground in the plug. A little lithium grease in the connections wouldn't hurt.

7 Pin, theres a ground in the plug as well as a ground bolt on the trailer, and all the lights ground directly to the trailer, theres only one wire for power for each light. The lights im having issues with are these exact ones https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Lights/Optronics/ST2RB.html The lights ground through the two mounting bolts, and theres one wire for the side marker, and one wire for the brake/turn signal/running light. I thought it was the ground as well, but the bolts make contact with bare trailer metal so they should have a good ground.

plug is wired correctly, the trailer functioned as it should before the lights stopped working, the thing isn't even two years old, im the first owner

Apply LITHIUM GREASE to your connections. Worked many times for me in the past. Both of my trailers are 10+ years old and the lights work perfectly.

Ill give it a shot, although the bulbs in the lights dont actually have a socket, theres a small plastic tab to hold the bulb and it kinda rubs up against two copper strips and a steel piece for power and ground.

7-way as well. Even more important than the sockets.
