Time to start gathering it then. Camping is the shit! Hell half of TW seems to be about camping

 

Yeah, well...
I'm sequestered up here in the woods. I've got to stay entertained somehow.

No plans, really. Usually when we go camping we decide on a Monday or Tuesday that we're camping that weekend, haha!

 

Priorities - LCA's and a few other things first.

 

Camping, I thought that was summer living.

Bluegrass fest in NY for 4 nights, currently have 4 nights of group camping reserved at Moosehead, but that will get extended one way or another. Looking for another music fest to go to. Night or 2 on the Saco river. And I am sure there will be a few more weekends mixed in, just need to work around son's boy scout trips including a week of scout camp.

 

I have a 40 minute drive to work now. I get up at 5:30 and am typically at work between 6:30 and 6:45.

Some people like to give me odd looks when I take off around 3:30, but I don't think they realize that I've been here for hours before they even show up for the day.

 

Right now I'm toying with the idea of picking up a shell for the F150 and building a platform in the bed. It'd be convenient to just park someplace and have the 'tent' already set up, lol. Plus I've already got the factory LED bed lights, so I wouldn't even have to add any wiring or switches. And it's definitely large enough for me and the GF to have plenty of space for sleeping and lots of storage for gear under the platform. But, since I only stand 5'7 I'd have to bring a stepladder with me to get the Kayaks off the roof

And obviously you'd have to find someplace reasonably level to park.

So far my trips are all mountain biking related:
Boondocking in northern VT for a festival weekend 6/15-18
Camping with some friends in Saratoga, NY 7/26-30
Camping for my birthday at Mohawk Trail SF in Chalemont, MA 8/24-27
Currently planning a trip to Carabasset, ME and we're thinking of the week of Labor Day 9/4-9
May throw another couple in there.

 

Speaking of which, your other one came in today and I am having them blast and paint them for you

 

Might check a few sites out down the street from me. Should be fun

FJ might be getting some Camburg +3.5" long travel....

 

Have loose plans to go disappear into Vermont with my gf.

 

My son and I are camping with the tent this weekend with his Cub Scouts. We have a long week planned in PA and other than that I think we're going to wing it a few weekends here and there
