Dude did you get the whole tub of guac? That is a considerable "man-sized" portion.

    Warning: long post.

I was worried about passing emissions because my secondary air injection pump failed, which has caused my CEL to come on (and stay on for the past 18 months) and my vehicle is due for emissions next month. Did my research, figured that the filter inside of it may have gone bad. Took it apart yesterday, everything was fine. So, instead of having the whole system replaced which would cost over $1200, I was about to buy the plug and play module ($300-400) that tells the computer the secondary air injection system is working fine, and therefore removes the CEL. But there was still a chance that the vehicle would fail emissions if the system wasn't doing it's job. So I thought maybe somehow I could pimp the DMV system, so I went online to try and renew my registration, and it said you need to have emissions done, so I thought "well damn, I am screwed," but then I scroll down and the DMV website says: you have recently driven by an on road emissions inspection point, click to view your results. So I click, and lo and behold, I passed! All I had to do was pay the inspection fee, and didn't have to fix my CEL or secondary air injection system, thus saving me a bunch of money which i say i will spend on my truck but in reality will probably get confiscated by my wife and go towards a down payment on a house. So, BOOM! It all worked out. In the end, I was able to renew my registration having passed emissions, and I purchased new personalized plates so I could fit in here: HRDTCO (hard taco), inspired by @VA SOFTACO, except that I have a hard shell, where as he has a soft shell.

I am pumped that it worked out as it did. Saves me a shit ton of money and frustration. So if anyone is in a similar situation with their CEL, or just doesn't want to have to go in to a shop to have their emissions done, find one of those on road emissions stations. I know they may move, but the one I drove by was on the 15 North exit off of 7 in just East of Leesburg, across from the Autonation Toyota.

    sort of true......

    Wiki:

"The dish is named after Zuo Zongtang (formerly romanized Tso Tsung-t'ang), a Qing dynasty statesman and military leader, although there is no recorded connection to him nor is the dish known in Hunan, Zuo's home province."
