Today, I debaged my tailgate in prep for my "TACOMA" tufskinz inlay. I used fishing line to remove the v6 but it left a majority of the sticker residue. I cleaned it off with Citrol, which worked better the turtle wax and rainx bug and adhesive removers.

Is that method the best /only way to do it or does anyone know a cleaner or easier way?

    None as of yet
Must be nice, mine was a pain in the ass and left a ton of residue behind. I had to use a 3M eraser wheel to remove the residue and then polish/wax the spot afterwards because the wheel left it dull.

This would be perfect for the FL thunder storms. My roof sounds like a tin can in a thunder storm. If you’re ever in Tampa you can swing by and help install. j/k!

Looks nice. Do the running boards get in the way of vehicles opening doors next to you so they hit the running board instead of the side of your truck?

I would recommend goo gone instead. Goof off has been known to ruin paint. 2 completely different products

Yea a friend of mine messed up the paint on his Jeep with that stuff. It has harsher chemicals in it, but if you washed and waxed immediately after I'm sure its fine. But I've used GooGone many times with no issues.

I almost look forward to the next storm. If you use the instructions from @GHOST SHIP you will need to know that the rear grab handles and clothes hangers are different for the 3rd gen. If you lose one of the spring clips while taking down the headliner it is no big deal but it is a big deal if it happens after everything is all put back together. You need to put the cap back on the grab handle before reinstalling. It is not intuitive but it will save you a lot of time.
