All auto manufacturers have a very difficult time trying to compete in the US market. To meet all of the requirements that the various U.S. and California governments put on an "assembler", compromises have to be made. What does Toyota actaully manufacture themselves? Do they make the transmission, no, do they make the rear end, no, do they make the climate control, no... they assemble sub assemblies manufactured by someone else but it is called a Toyota.
I have known for a long time that you do not buy the first 2 years of any manufacturers offering, there is a teething process, they very rarley get it correct right out of the box.
    just my 2 cents worth.

Thats fine and correct, but we're talking about Tacomas, which aren't built the same place.

Wish I could help with the poll cap'n, but I'm over 20k plus miles and. It's been good quality thus far.
Having said that, i think my 4R might be better but not by that much and is SUV made for more luxury comfort in a arguably more competing segment.

    Best of luck
    Cheers!

Probably to go buy that Twin Turbo Diesel Colorado or whatever the shit. I swear, if the front end of that thing didn't look like a Minivan, I'd be all over one myself, and I *really* like my Taco... Something about Turbo's and Diesels though

I like the exterior of the Colorado. And all the specs look great on paper. But when I went to test drive one, I didn't even make it off the lot because the interior is designed by/for the geriatrics club.

Whoa whoa whoa, you're telling me that you test drove a truck, realized immediately you didn't like something about it, and then made the decision to walk away?

Time to repost that Mr. Roger's meme of yours from earlier...

I don't get why they make the front end so low. They looked jacked up in the rear when driving down the road.

Toyota's are JUNK, that's why. This has got to be the biggest POS I have ever owned and I hate driving it everyday, life sucks.

In general QA/QC issues are manufacturing or assembly related issues, not design issues.
So, what are the documented QA/QC issues?
I have seen zero such issue on mine yet.
    Maybe I have 6-MT and that's why...
